Jaynemarie Angbah - Interim Executive Director
Raised in the Bronx under the hum of subway tracks and the rhythm of resilience, Dr. Jaynemarie Enyonam Angbah emerged as a force for transformation. The child of a community that never stopped believing in possibility, she learned early that systems are not fixed and they are meant to be rebuilt. Her superpower: transmuting inequity into empowerment through education, leadership, and love.
For over two decades, Justice Architect has traveled across classrooms, boardrooms, and neighborhoods, wielding the twin powers of strategy and soul. She builds what others call impossible: systems that see, honor, and uplift youth and families too often left out of the story. Her mission: to train the next generation of changemakers to become architects of their own liberation.
Armed with a doctorate in Organizational Change and Leadership from the University of Southern California and the rare gift of turning data into story, Jaynemarie transforms metrics into movements. She’s known to appear in schools, nonprofits, and national organizations, constructing equity-centered frameworks and empowering early-career educators to stand tall in their purpose. Her impact echoes through The Children’s Aid Society, Boys & Girls Clubs of America, and the philanthropic community, where she led the REDI Change Learning Journey - an initiative that fortified cultures of belonging and justice.
Across the nation, organizations call upon her to build structures that sustain transformation and measurement systems that not only count outcomes but honor growth, learning, and love. Her teachings have been etched in the book Measure, Use, Improve! and in the hearts of thousands she’s guided toward courage.
Recognized as New York’s 2014 Afterschool Ambassador and honored with Bucknell University’s 2018 Young Alumni Award, Dr. Angbah continues to walk in her purpose as a builder of bridges and a guardian of equity. She serves on the boards of Bucknell University, The Fresh Air Fund, and the Current Issues in Out-of-School Time publication, ensuring the field’s next chapter centers justice and joy.
A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, and the Urban League of the Greater San Francisco Bay Area, she carries her lineage with reverence. In every space she enters, she invokes her ancestors and reminds the room: We are the system now. We are the change we were waiting for.
Because for Dr. Jaynemarie “Justice Architect” Angbah, the work isn’t just about transforming organizations. It’s about building worlds where every child’s brilliance has room to rise.
